Voting in the Student Union is the easiest way to make your voice heard.
Even if you are only here in Uppsala a short time it is important for future English speaking students that you help shape your student union and your university.
You can vote in the election between April 7 and 21 because you would like the Student Union to change, or you can vote to maintain it as it is. Your vote will be able to affect your education and your time in Uppsala, and indeed your possible future in Swedish society.
The student union parties are in agreeance that your time in Uppsala should be the best possible, but what "best possible" is depends on if you are feminist, socialist, pirate, conservative, liberal or international student to be able to answer that question.
The election that takes place between April 7 and 21 affects for example, your teacher's competencies, your examination forms, your grading, your possibility to become a doctoral student, your libraryu, your study environment, your possibilities if you are discriminated against, your internet connection, your access to healthcare, your access to housing, Uppsala's litterature prices, your student discounts, your possibilities to get a job after your education, the student newspaper Ergo, your student union fee and which services the Student Union will offer next year.
You can also vote blank. This is a method to give a "fail" grade to those parties who are competing for your vote - either that their agenda is wrong or that they have failed to communicate it to you.
You have the right to vote - use it!
