Grades

Grades are authority decisions and can not be appealed against. On the other hand you as as student has a right to require a reconsideration of the grade. You do that with your examiner.
In case of an obvious incorrect grading, for example if the total sum of points is inaccurate, the grade can be corrected.

If you have asked for a reconsideration and still think that you have been given the wrong grade or that the examinaton was not properly done you can turn to the Ombudsman for Grading Issues at Uppsala University.

The Ombudsman for Grading Issues can give a recommendation for a changed grade if he or she thinks it is reasonable.
Thus the Ombudsman can not change the grade, but only give recommendations, although in most cases a recommendation
is a strong indication that the first decision should be changed.

As a student you have a right to claim an explanation after each examination to why you were given the grade you got. For more information about grades and trial by the ombudsman for grading issues you can turn to the
Student Ombudsman.
