The Student Union Council consists of 41 members, who are elected at the annual student union election, where all you 33 000 members have the right to vote. In other words, every member of the Council represents 830 students.
The Council meets 7 times per year and is open to all members.

The Student Union Council decides how the Student Union should use its financial resources. Your vote in the Student Union election, therefore, also determines what services the Student Union should offer you and the other members.
Today, the Student Union Council consists of the following parties:
Borgerliga studenter - liberal students
Gröna studenter - green students
Piratstudenterna - the pirate students (coalition partner)
Socialdemokratiska studenter - social democratic students
Uppsala Universitets studenter - Uppsala University's students (coalition partner)
Vänsterns studentförbund - association of leftist students
