Uppsala Student Union's Doctoral Ombudsman will help you with the problems that you cannot solve on your own. That can be simple things like knowing which regulations apply in your case, how to deduct your computer in you tax statement, or how various study financing systems work. He can tell you what goes on in the various departments and if your department or your subject has a good or bad reputation. The bulk of the cases that the Doctoral Student Ombudsman deal with, however, concern more serious issues, such as disputes with supervisors or conflicts with the department or faculty administration.
