Internationalisation of all education
Introducing an international perspective in all the areas that the Student Union and the university work in is quite demanding. Even if internationalisation of higher education envolves an attitude change, instead of a great deal of decided arrangements, it is more likely that that will come in place if some arrangements where made to accomodate that change. Internationalisation of education means that every educational instance should include an international perspecitve and understanding, so that in turn it can offer bredth and depth to the education. Student exchange is just one part of internationalisation.
Master’s students
Master level education is a growing area in which the university invests more and more on. Since it is in english and has a more distinct outward direction than basic education it is particularly important that these students are well treated. The Student Union's international officer will be working with questions regarding housing, student working conditions, and quality of education during the coming acadmic year. Feel free to contact her if you have comments or reccomendations.
In and out travelling students and doctoral students
Mobility among students, doctoral students, teachers and general staff is highly desirable. The Student Union is working to facilitate this mobility. It is also important that the groups that least use the possibilities of mobility should be made aware of that, that uneven rekruitment in this field is minimised. Evaluation of exchanges is also something the Student Union looks after and works to improve. Information about exchanges need improvement as well.
