Uppsala Student Union's hand loan
You can borrow up to 3 000 SEK for a period of two months (three months during the summer). This loan is interest-free, but we charge a fee of 2 % of the sum you loan (3 % for summer loans).

Scholarships
Uppsala Student Union manages a number of funds from which various scholarships are granted. The scholarships are announced in Ergo, at the noticeboard in the Student Union Building and at our website. Download the application form below or get it at the Student Union reception.

Uppsala Student Union hereby announces the following scholarships:
The Student Union Scholarship: Granted students at Uppsala University who are in serious need of financial help. Membership in Uppsala Student Union is required.
Please attach your confidential tax statement (självdeklaration).
The Ivar Hallberg Scholarship: Granted particularly gifted students at Uppsala University, regardless of study programme. Among equally qualified applicants, priority will be given to members of Göteborgs nation.
Last date for application: 11th of November 2011.

Available scholarships:
Scholarships from the fund for dissertation printing
One or several scholarships to PhD student at Uppsala University who is in need of financial support for the publication of a printed dissertation. A quotation for printing costs must be attached. This scholarship is announced every spring semester.
The Adolf Björkander Scholarship
Granted every five years as a travel grant for students of the history of art or Swedish medieval history. The scholarship will be announced next time in spring 2012.
The Ivar Hallberg Scholarship

The Student Union Scholarship
Granted students at Uppsala University who are in serious need of financial help. This scholarship is announced every autumn semester.
The Stranensky Siblings' Scholarship
A scholarship for students at Uppsala University who are in serious need of financial support and who conduct an ethical and sober living. This scholarship is announced every spring semester.
The Ellen Wedelin Housing Scholarship
A two-room apartment near Islandsfallet is rented out at a low price to students of medicine. The scholarship is announced when the current tenant moves out.
The Gunnar Wennerberg Travel Grant
One or several scholarships to members of Uppsala Student Union who want to study musical compositions or scientific music studies abroad, or who want to study the history of art abroad. Every other year, priority is given to music studies and art history studies respectively. A travel plan must be attached. This scholarship is announced every spring semester.
The Pontus Wikner Scholarship
Three years of financial support for scientific researchers, primarily within the philosophical fields. The next scholarship will be announced during spring 2010.
In Memory of Jonas Samzeli
One or several scholarships to active students at Uppsala University who have made a meritorious effort for Uppsala Student Union or in another way worked to the benefit of its members. Every member of Uppsala Student Union has the right to nominate a canditate. This scholarship is announced every spring semester.
