Norreda is located near the Norrsjö lake in Funbo, 25 km from Uppsala. The Norrsjö lake is part of the cloverleaf-shaped lake system where you can also find the Marielund train station, where the Lennakatten working train museum stops, and the Fjällnora leisure centre, where you can rent canoes and cross-country ice skates. 

Norredatorp is beautifully situated, with nature just around the corner and excellent opportunities for bathing - it has its own jetty, sauna and rowing boat, and barbecues ready for use. The Upplandsleden footpaths is located nearby, as well as other footpaths and ski tracks.

Norredatorp is a pleasant eighteenth-century agricultural holding with four fully equipped wooden buildings and a large, modern lounge cabin, adapted to all sorts of gatherings.

The Cabins of Norredatorp

Sportstugan (the lounge) is a large hall with a fireplace, sofas, tables and chairs for about sixty people; it also has a large kitchen with double stoves and sinks, a dishwasher, a large refrigerator and the equipment needed for sixty people. Further, it has a hallway with sofas, a mirror and coat hangers; and finally a veranda/porch with the capacity to sit and serve about twenty people.

Torpet has two stories. On the ground floor you'll find a kitchen with a fireplace, kitchen utensils for twelve, tables, and chairs, as well as a two-bed bedroom. Upstairs you'll find ten beds.

Ladan has a kitchen; a three-bed bedroom; a living-room with a dining area for five; a hallway with two beds; and a terrace at the back.

Sovstugan has three beds, a dining area, a refrigerator, two hotplates and kitchen utensils for four.

Visthuset also has two stories. On the ground floor you'll find two beds, a table, chairs and refrigerator, two hotplates and kitchen utensils for four. Upstairs you'll find two beds.

All beds in the cabins have a pillow and duvet or blanket. Guests must bring their own bedlinen (or a sleeping bag).

Visthuset and Sovstugan are not habitable in the winter and do not have running water. The equipment of the kitchens include a large water can with a tap, which can be filled from the pump behind Sovstugan.

Förrådet (the storehouse) houses among other things a shared freezer, oars and forks for the rowing boat, some life jackets, as well as a saw and axes. There could be wood in the woodshed, but we can’t guarantee it.

Showers and toilets are located in a building between Sportstugan and the cabins. It is divided into two sections, with a shower, a changing room and two toilets in each part.

The sauna is located on the hill slope in direction of the lake, near the jetty, and has a shower.

The person in whose name the booking was made is reponsible for their guests. You should therefore inform all your guests of our rules. In the event of damage caused to the property the responsible person will be charged.

In order to maintain low prices, we ask that the guests clean the cabins. You should therefore make sure that the cabins are clean and in good order before the next guests arrive. Please remember to pick up litter outside and to put all pieces of equipement in their right place and in the right cabin.

Rental charge at Norredatorp:

Sauna 100 SEK, + 50 SEK/extra day.
A whole week or longer gives you 15% discount.

N.B. During winter time the rental charge can increase due to the price of energy.

Fees apply to a 24-hour stay, beginning at 12 noon on the day the booking was made for, until 12 noon on the next day. Weekend fees are applicable on 24-hour stays beginning on a Friday, Saturday, or the day before an official holiday. "Members" are all members of the Uppsala Student Union who have paid the student union fee.

*Guests staying at the Sportstugan should bring a camping mattress or something similar.
